Life Development Process

African aid programs in the past have seen a mixture of triumphs and tragedy. Through our work on the ground within poverty-stricken communities, we’ve seen firsthand that holistic individual development is the best way to create widespread and sustainable community transformation. When individuals are empowered to reach their highest potential, they build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities.

For individual development to be successful, it must impact the most crucial core areas of each person’s life. That is why we journey with committed individuals by training them in:

  • Life planning and goal setting

  • Math and financial literacy

  • Computer skills

  • Health and nutrition education

  • Job and trade skills

  • Biblical training

  • Discipleship and spiritual formation

  • Leadership development

  • Small business management

  • Job preparation and placement

In just 20 weeks, an individual goes from their introductory meeting with one of our trained staff to acquiring a sustainable job.
We stay connected with our graduates for long-term follow-up and care as they spark and sustain change in their communities together.

This is the power of investing in the one, to influence the many.

Spiritual Renewal

We always seek to embrace what God is doing in the world, joining Him in the renewal of people and culture here in South Africa. We partner with local churches and Christian leaders to see the Church become the primary source of development in our cities.

We empower and equip the local church and individual believers through short-term Biblical training and discipleship opportunities. And we’re already seeing these leaders bring positive change in their communities.

Future plans include a comprehensive Bible School, a Discipleship and Leadership Training School, and church plants in areas of great need, through partnership with local Christian leaders. These churches would become the sources of holistic development within their communities, organically working together to bring radical hope and empowerment throughout Southern Africa.

Don’t Just Take Our Word For It

“Now I know my identity, and I will live my life in God’s will because I belong to him. I am going back to school to pursue my career and my dream, because I am worth it to God and can do all things through Him.”

-Philiswa

“Now I know who I am in Christ and in the real world. I am at peace with myself and with everyone. I will hold on to God’s principles, I want to serve God and help others to know their true identity and to get to know Him more.”

-Phumlani
