FAQ: Learn More About Our New Partnership with Living Hope
As we step into this new partnership, we want to make sure you feel informed and connected to what God is doing. Below, you’ll find a short FAQ that unpacks what this step means and where we believe He is leading us.
1. Is Hope Africa Collective closing or changing direction?
Not at all! Hope Africa Collective is still fully active and deeply committed to our mission. In fact, this partnership allows us to multiply our impact and strengthen our sustainability across Africa.
2. Who is Living Hope and why are we partnering with them?
Living Hope is a well-established, faith-driven organization with 25 years of experience and over 223 staff across soon to be 10 locations in South Africa. Through prayer and discernment, we recognized our missions were aligned—and together, we can achieve far more than we ever could alone.
3. What exactly will Living Hope be managing?
Living Hope will begin managing Hope Africa Collective’s Socio-Economic Development (SED) programs currently operating in Philippi, Cape Town, including Life Development, Trade Skills, and the Hair & Beauty Program. They will use our copyrighted curriculum and materials, which remain under Hope Africa Collective name.
4. What will Hope Africa Collective continue doing?
Hope Africa Collective will continue to further develop and oversee all spiritual formation programs, including EQUIP, Indyebo Theological Training, Khwezela Youth Network, Pastoral monthly leadership gatherings, Women’s ministry event seminars and conferences—we’ll also train, support, and share our socio-economic curriculum across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
5. Will this affect the students or communities being served?
Yes, but in the best way with exponential impact! This partnership allows our curriculums and impact of our programs to be scaled across other Living Hope locations. This means more people reached, more lives transformed, and spreading Gospel-rooted hope throughout South Africa and expansion across all Sub-Saharan Africa.
6. Will Hope Africa Collective still need donor support?
Absolutely. This partnership doesn’t replace our need—it expands it. With wider reach comes greater opportunity, and your continued generosity helps us lead spiritual formation efforts and invest in the next phase of Kingdom growth.
7. Is this part of a bigger vision for expansion across Africa?
Yes! We’ve prayed for years about expanding across Sub-Saharan Africa, and this partnership is the first step in seeing that vision become a reality. God is answering those prayers through strategic collaboration and multiplication. For example, we are in the early stages of collaborating with organizations in Kenya, Rwanda, Congo, Uganda and Zambia to distribute and train in the use of our curricula. As time goes forward these organizations will report quarterly on the impact being made in their locations.
8. How was this decision made?
This partnership has resulted from months of prayer, discernment, and conversations between both organizations. We believe it was orchestrated by the Holy Spirit—confirmed by peace, clarity, and alignment every step of the way.
