Welcoming New and Familiar Faces to the Hope Africa Collective Team

At Hope Africa Collective, we believe that people are at the heart of transformation. Every program, partnership, and story of hope is made possible by faithful leaders who feel deeply called to walk alongside communities and invest in lasting change.

We are excited to introduce two new additions to the Hope Africa Collective team – leaders who bring experience, passion, and a shared commitment to seeing lives transformed through faith expressed in action.

Jeremy Hilliard, Co-Founder & Africa Regional Director

Jeremy Hilliard brings decades of global ministry and leadership experience to Hope Africa Collective. His journey began in 1997 during his first visit to Southern Africa, where witnessing the realities of extreme poverty ignited a lifelong calling to serve communities across the continent.

Since then, Jeremy has worked in nearly a dozen countries throughout Africa and Asia, engaging in community development, church planting, and leadership across both nonprofit and business sectors. His experience spans ministry work in the United States and Australia, along with leading organizations that bridge sustainable development and spiritual formation.

As Co-founder and now new role as African Regional Director, Jeremy provides strategic leadership and oversight, helping guide vision, partnerships, and growth across Hope Africa Collective’s work.

Jeremy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from Crown College and brings a steady, experienced presence to this season of expansion and impact at Hope Africa Collective.

Jandrè van der Walt, Project Manager

Jandrè van der Walt joins the Hope Africa Collective team as Project Manager, bringing over 12 years of ministry experience and a strong background in leadership, program management, and operational systems.

Originally from South Africa, Jandrè holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from South African Theological Seminary. He is a mission-driven leader with a heart for seeing lives transformed through the presence of God and faith put into action.

In his role, Jandrè supports the effective implementation and coordination of programs, ensuring that teams are equipped, systems are aligned, and projects move forward with excellence and purpose. His passion for serving the local Church and advancing missions across Africa reflects Hope Africa Collective’s commitment to holistic discipleship and community impact.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude and Expectation

We are excited for Jeremy and Jandrè as they step into these new roles at Hope Africa Collective. They help us walk faithfully with youth and communities, guiding individuals to discover their worth and step into hopeful futures.

As we continue this journey, we invite you to join us in praying for wisdom, unity, and fruitfulness in this new season. We look forward to sharing the stories that will unfold through their leadership and service.

We believe that when one life is transformed by hope, an entire community begins to change.

Thank you for your work there in Africa! "His divine power has granted to (you) ALL things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called (you) to His own glory and excellence, by which He has granted to (you) His precious and very great promises...." (2 Pet 1:3,4). Praying for wisdom, unity and fruitfulness in all you do as you plan for the expansion of the ministry. I am targeting my prayers for Zambia today. I just met a 21 year old, young lady who came to the US six months ago on a 2 year educational visa. She wants to get her education in teaching so she can return to Zambia and teach at the school she graduated from. A family from our church is providing for her to live with them and support her while she is here. Living here has been quite the cultural shock. She has her mom and a brother and sister back there. They attend a pentecostal church. We have been spending several days a week together, talking about her life there and her walk with the Lord. Her name is Precious and she IS PRECIOUS in every way!!!! Our church supports a school there called, Latterrains Christian School in Mpika, Zambia. https://hhmin.org/charities/latterrains-christian-school/#:~:text=Her%20passion%20to%20help%20vulnerable,two%20degrees%20along%20the%20way. Our love and prayers, Gail and Ken Barnes
