Raised on the red soil of South Africa, Snazo endured a hard childhood with a difficult family. After giving up on herself and her chances of a bright future, she felt bored by life. Then, she came to Hope Africa Collective. Snazo joined our Life Direction Program and there she discovered the freedom found in total vulnerability and full surrender to God.

“As time went by, we were sharing secrets that you never share with your family, your mother, or your friends. It helped me. This program really helped me. Now I can stand in front of people and talk. Before, I could not do that. I couldn’t share my secrets. Now I know who I am. I wish that everyone could come here and learn. My life really changed and now I am busy with my computer skills course . … Then, I will get my license and then I will get a better job.

“Before I came here, I thought I was old. I am married and I have two kids, and I didn’t think of going back to school. I’m only 29, but before I came here I felt like I was old and like I couldn’t do anything. Now I feel like I am 16-years-old. I’ve got my whole life ahead of me. … Before, I was this person with anger. I would hit my kids and then I would regret it right after. Sometimes I didn’t even listen to my kids. Like, they would come and say, “Momma,” and I would say, ‘Go, go, go! Don’t come and talk to me!’ But now I know that I must listen to my kids and hear what they have to say. Before, I didn’t do that. I am a better mom and a better wife now.

“I’ve got my whole life ahead of me. It really has changed my life. I have changed.”

“And I am even saved since I came here! There is a program that teaches about Jesus, and we really learned a lot. Before I came here, I knew that Jesus was Lord, but I did not know what I know now. I pray for Hope Africa. I pray for Bomkazi and the other teachers. I pray God would help them. I wish this place would grow. This place is really helping. I wish everyone out there could come and just listen!“

We are excited to see Snazo thrive as God continues to reveal Himself to her. We feel so honored to play a part in Snazo’s story! We believe that she will do amazing things and make a lasting impact.
