Beach Baptism

Baptism is a beautiful outward expression of an internal transformation. Especially when it takes place on a gorgeous beach!

The students in our Life Skills class who made the decision to follow Christ have been going through our New Believers course. Asanda and Jeanenne love helping these new disciples unpack the truths of Scripture and understand what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Three students decided they wanted to be baptized, so down to the beach we went! In the water, Asanda shared with each one about the significance of baptism and invited them to profess their faith in Christ.

It was incredible to watch them come up out of the water with huge smiles and joyful hands raised!

Each of them talked about how they could feel God washing over them as they went under the water. They described the strongholds of their past fading away. “Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

They are all passionate about continuing to grow in their faith. So exciting!

Have you been baptized?
We’d love to hear your baptism story!

What an amazing "life skill" to have - the only one who can give us the skills for living is the one who gives us LIFE! Thank you Jesus for your life in these young people!
