Why Computer Literacy Matters

We often take for granted how easily we have access to technology in our culture.

The students from our Life Skills Training have all moved on into our Computer Literacy course, and a brand new group of students have begun in the Life Skills class.

Out of 28 students, none have internet at home. Only two have computers.

This course is key in helping these young adults get jobs as these skills will make them much more marketable in the workplace. They are learning the foundational elements of Microsoft Office, the Internet, and typing. We really had to start with the basics. Most of the students had never even seen a mouse before… at least not the computer kind!

We are so grateful for the donors who helped cover the costs of setting up our computer room with 15 work stations. Thank you for your life-changing partnership with our ministry!

Our students have learned so much already. They are all so eager to understand and apply what they are being taught, and are working diligently to improve themselves.

We are excited about equipping these students for a better future!
